Bowen is a graduate student in computer science at Utah State University. He is the primary developer of the low-level avionics software. Bowen wrote the communication software for the IMU, PerfectFlite, and servos. During part of his undergraduate career, Bowen was president of the USU Linux club. After two launches without a major avionics failure, the team has reason to believe that Bowen is magic.
